This Graham’s Port from the 2011 vintage, an extraordinary year in the Douro, was crafted from a blend of traditional Douro grapes – Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, Tinta Amarela, and a mix of other old‑vine varieties. Twelve years of ageing in oak barrels gave it complexity. On the nose it offers enticing aromas of caramel, English cake, and marmalade, with hints of maple syrup. In the mouth it presents a round, rich texture where fruit is present yet blended with the complex notes from ageing – dried fruit, nutmeg, cigar box, and tea. The finish is compact and long. Founded in 1820, Graham’s owns two of the best estates in the Douro Valley: Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta do Tua, which produce wines of exceptional quality, great structure, richness, and complexity. Graham’s is an independent company, wholly owned by the Symington family, Port wine producers since the 19th century, whose ancestors were involved in the first Port exports in 1652.
