Description

A deep‑colored wine with an extraordinary personality—very elegant, persistent, and full‑bodied. Its aroma is dominated by ripe fruits such as black plum and blackberry, complemented by spice and cocoa notes. On the palate it offers black fruit and cocoa flavors, well integrated by French oak, with rounded tannins and good mouth‑feel volume. Quinta de São José de Peramãça is located 5 km from Évora on National Road 114, easily recognizable thanks to its large, traditional farmhouse, marked by Baroque architecture, and the adjacent Church of São José. The estate was acquired by the Grave family in 1912 and remains in their ownership to this day, now managed by João Grave. It covers 34 hectares, of which about 15.5 hectares are exclusively devoted to grape cultivation for wine production. (Illustrative image only)
