Grand Druida by winemaker Nuno Mira do Ó The Grand Druida Reserva Encruzado originates from a single plot of Encruzado grapes, located at an altitude of 500 m on the right bank of the Dão River. Granitic soils, though quite clay‑rich, give these grapes a distinctive character. This white wine undergoes two years of ageing before release and will be produced only from the best harvests. The first edition is a tribute to a close friend and winemaker who, together with Nuno Mira do Ó, created the first Druida: João Corrêa. Fermented using only natural yeasts in oak barrels—the sacred tree of the Druids—it is an exceptional wine known for its complexity and personality. **Climate** Cool, windy, and humid autumns and winters; mild springs and dry, hot summers. **Soils** Granite with clay. **Vinification** Fermentation in French oak barrels (20 % new, 80 % used), with no added yeasts. **Staging** 10 months in barrels where it fermented. Bottled in July 2022 and aged in bottle since then. **Allergen information** Contains sulfites. SKU: 106579
