Grandes Quintas – The red wine Grandes Quintas Reserva is dominated by the diversity of Vinhas Velhas and a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, and Tinto Cão, all sourced from Quinta do Cerval. Vinification/Stage: Hand‑harvested in 20‑kg crates, destemmed 100 %, fermented in stainless‑steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24–26 °C for 7 days. Malolactic fermentation in the same vat. 100 % of the batch aged 24 months in new, third‑year French oak barrels. Based on its organoleptic characteristics, a very positive bottle ageing is expected over the next 10 to 15 years. Before serving, decant for 15 minutes to let the wine breathe, and serve at around 16–17 °C. This wine has not been clarified, so it may show a slight natural sediment. Winemaker: Luís Soares Duarte.
