Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes with the aim of introducing Portuguese wines to the world, focusing on the quality of its releases, the novelty of its brands, and the presentation of its products. Today, led by the third generation of the founding family, it continues to pursue its original mission: to be a family‑owned, internationally oriented company dedicated to producing quality wines, fostering innovation, and developing Portuguese brands of global standing. Sogrape Vinhos manages roughly 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Quinta dos Carvalhais lies in the municipality of Mangualde, near Nelas and Alcafache, where the soil, climate, and long‑standing winemaking expertise make the Dão truly special. (illustrative image)
