This Alyantiju from Herdade Aldeia de Cima is a wine that takes itself very seriously. With a nine-month aging in completely new French oak, it delivers an intensity characteristic only of the Alentejo – a density that promises a truly memorable experience. The blend of Alicante Bouschet, grown on two distinct terroirs – a plateau at 289-300 metres and in the Serra do Mendro (300-380 metres), gives the wine a remarkable complexity. A wine with a definite personality, undoubtedly worthy of note, and ideally paired with a slow-roasted pork dish.
