Right then, here’s the deal with Herdade da Malhadinha – a wine that clearly took its time maturing, perhaps with a generous helping of patience (or maybe a few well-aimed orbes!). It delivers a vibrant acidity and tannins, classic of the Alentejo, beautifully balanced by rich black fruit and a hint of spice. Truly a reflection of this terroir, as confirmed by its prestigious recognition from the IPD. Ideal, I’d say, with a perfectly grilled beef dish or a nice, salty seafood starter.
