Casa Relvas is a family‑run project that began in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas. It aims to carry forward a legacy spanning five generations, all united by a deep passion for the Alentejo and its authentic landscape. Over the years the family has grown alongside the business, and today the estate covers roughly 750 hectares of forest, 225 hectares of olive groves, and 350 hectares of vineyards, all managed through integrated (sustainable) farming practices. With its three holdings—Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta, and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede—Casa Relvas can produce about 6 million bottles of wine each year. Around 70 % of that output is destined for the international market, making the wines available in more than 30 countries worldwide and showcasing the best of the Alentejo. (illustrative image)
