Description

A wine produced from selected grapes grown on the best parcels, planted in slate soils. After manual harvest and fermentation in vats, it spent 12 months ageing in 400 L barrels and 6 months in 5 000 L tanks. Casa Relvas is a family project, launched in 1997 in São Miguel de Machede, Redondo, by Alexandre Relvas, aimed at continuing a five‑generation story with a deep passion for Alentejo and its authentic nature. Over the years the family grew alongside the business, and today the estate spans roughly 750 ha of montado forest, 225 ha of olive grove and 350 ha of vineyards grown 100 % under integrated production. With the three properties – Herdade de São Miguel, Herdade da Pimenta and Herdade de São Miguel de Machede – Casa Relvas can annually produce about 6 million bottles, 70 % of which are destined for the international market, with a presence in more than 30 countries worldwide, delivering the best of Alentejo.
