The Esporão company was born in the Alentejo from an unwavering desire to make the best wines. This motivation is the legacy behind all of its wines and the main reason it has expanded its range to other products and territories. The Esporão estate, located in the heart of the Alentejo in Reguengos de Monsaraz, offers unique agricultural conditions – wide diurnal temperature swings, poor and varied soils, and extraordinary biodiversity that helps produce in balance with the environment. With roughly 702 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and other crops nurtured by a Biological Production Method, it now includes about 40 grape varieties, four olive varieties, fruit orchards and vegetable gardens.
