Description

Herdade Grande is an agricultural estate located about 5 km from Vidigueira in Alentejo. The property covers 350 hectares, of which 60 hectares are vineyards, 40 hectares are olive groves, and the remainder is used for sheep grazing. The estate has been owned by the same family for over a century. The winemaking project began with vine planting in 1980 and the start of vinification in 1997, with a goal of producing and marketing between 350,000 and 400,000 bottles of wine—30 % white and 70 % red.
