Made from the Syrah grape, the Herdade Papa Leite rosé showcases a delicate salmon‑pink hue. On the nose it is intensely aromatic, with striking strawberry notes and an enchanting floral profile. In the mouth it is smooth and crisp, with intense strawberry flavours that linger in a persistent, vibrant finish. Herdade Papa Leite, located in Alter do Chão in the heart of Alto Alentejo, dates back to the 17th century, where monuments from that era still stand. After many families passed through the area, Filipe Barreiros Cardoso fell in love with the estate, acquiring it and, with the support of his family and team, realizing an old dream of producing high‑quality products. Thus the estate was expanded and revitalised, covering 320 hectares dedicated to wine, olive oil and cattle production. The vines are planted on clay soils, with grapes harvested at night and selected before entering the cellar, where the best raw material is guaranteed for wine production. (illustrative image only)
