Héredias DOC Douro wine, produced from vineyards located in the municipality of Tabuaço, in the parish of Granjinha, on the right bank of the Távora River. The estate comprises 30 hectares of vines, some plots over 100 years old, planted in predominantly schist soils with some granite outcrops. The vineyards sit at altitudes between 250 and 470 metres, benefiting from hot summers and low annual rainfall. Winemaking: Full destemming. Skin maceration for 24 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures close to 20 ºC. Gentle pump-overs are carried out to achieve a balanced extraction of colour and aromas. The wine undergoes natural decantation and light filtration before bottling.
