Rubí‑coloured wine that greets the nose with red fruit aromas—pomegranate, strawberry, plum—rounded out by balsamic undertones and a hint of tomato leaf. On the palate it offers vibrant, refreshing acidity, very subtle tannins, and a burst of fresh, intense fruit. Born and raised in Ribeira de Santarém, Hugo Mendes studied biotechnological engineering but his love for wine took centre stage, leading him to devote himself fully to oenology since the 2006 harvest. A passionate communicator, he is a regular on social media and runs a blog since 2008 that demystifies wine for enthusiasts. In 2016 he launched his own brand, pioneering Portugal’s first crowdfunding campaign to finance a wine.
