Born and raised in the Ribeira de Santarém, Hugo Mendes studied Biotechnological Engineering, but his passion for wine prevailed, and since the 2006 harvest he has devoted himself entirely to oenology. A lover of communicating the art to consumers, he is a regular presence on social media. Since 2008 he has run a blog dedicated to demystifying oenology for wine lovers. He became an independent producer in the 2016 harvest, having launched Portugal’s first crowdfunding campaign to finance a wine.
