Iraun is a term derived from Basque, coming from the verb "perdurar". The use of this name for this white wine, which undergoes fermentation and then spends several months in oak barrels, is intended to pay homage to its mother tongue, considered one of the oldest languages in the world. Its unique label depicts an "akelarre" (a nocturnal gathering of witches) venerating Oriboro, a Basque mythological serpent that bites its own tail, alluding to eternity and the notion that the end begins the beginning.
