Jean‑François Ganevat is unique; there is no other like him anywhere in the world. His wines are treasures that result from the extreme care this “vigneron” gives to every part of his vineyard, from the vine’s journey until it turns into liquid gold. Jean‑François is much more than a biodynamic farmer; he is a perfectionist who imagines, to the point that each of his small cuvées receives a unique and personal “elevage”, something that would drive anyone mad. He makes his wines in Jura, even though he has worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy, and in an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the various vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées—each one an immortal mirror of its respective terroir. As an enthusiastic biodynamic, his wines contain very small percentages of sulfur, or in some cases none at all.
