Jean‑François Ganevat is one of a kind; there is no other like him in the world. His wines are treasures that come from the extraordinary care this “vigneron” gives to his entire vineyard, to every step the grape takes until it turns into liquid gold. Jean‑François is more than a biodynamic winemaker; he’s a perfectionist who imagines himself to the point where each of his small cuvées has a unique, personal “elevage,” something that would drive anyone mad. It is in Jura, even though he worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy, that Jean‑François makes his wines. In an enclave between Burgundy and Switzerland lie the various vineyards that give rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, which are nothing more than an immortal mirror of each of his terroirs.
