Jean‑François Ganevat is unique—there is no one else like him in the world. His wines are precious treasures that come from the extreme care this “vigneron” gives to his entire vineyard, from the very first step the grape takes until it turns into liquid gold. Jean‑François is far more than a biodynamic winemaker; he is a perfectionist who envisions, to the point that each of his small cuvées has its own unique “elevage”, a concept that would drive anyone mad. It is in the Jura, even though he has worked with Jean‑Marc Morey in Burgundy, that Jean‑François makes his wines. Nestled between Burgundy and Switzerland, a cluster of vineyards gives rise to all of this producer’s cuvées, which are nothing more than an immortal mirror of each of his “terroirs”. As a fervent biodynamic winemaker, his wines contain only trace amounts of sulfites—or in some cases none at all. (illustrative image only)
