This wine from Quinta São João Batista has clearly been having quite the chat with almonds and hazelnuts – the result is a wonderfully complex and lingering aroma. The influence of French oak, with a 12-month ageing, provides a generous mouthfeel, beautifully balanced by acidity, and a finish that demands a good pairing. Quite rightly, it earned 90 points from Revista de Vinhos, and frankly, it’s a wine that knows how to impress. Wonderful with aged cheeses or roasted poultry, perhaps?
