This JK Elpenor Reserva, hailing from the Dão, certainly packs a punch. Built around the assertive Aragonez and tempered with the grace of Touriga Nacional, enhanced by a touch of Alfrocheiro, it’s a wine begging for a substantial meal. Seriously, it’s fantastic with a good grilled steak, or even a well-flavoured cheese – you’ll find it’s intensely rooted in the character of the Dão terroir.
