This João Clara, straight from the Algarve, is a delightfully zesty invitation – think bright orange and grapefruit dancing beautifully. The Verdelho influence adds a lovely floral lift, all underpinned by a remarkably fresh, almost rustic structure that leaves a wonderfully lingering finish. Seriously enjoyable, and I’d happily pair it with grilled fish or, dare I say, a classic pastel de nata with a dusting of cinnamon.
