This Joseph Drouhin Saint Verán Chardonnay clearly prioritises a respectful treatment of the fruit – a slow press, meticulously removing the last juice, suggests a dedication to letting the grape’s nuances really shine. It’s a rather deliberate wine, taking its time to reveal its character. Quite lovely with some fresh oysters or a grilled white fish with a squeeze of lemon, I’d imagine.
