Located in Portugal’s Alentejo region, Quinta de Dona Maria is renowned for its 18th‑century palace, a historic landmark that has also been linked to wine production for more than 150 years. In 1988, under new owner Júlio Bastos, the wines produced on the estate began to be marketed nationally and internationally, earning recognition from both the general public and wine critics. Although the old cellar has been restored, expanded, and modernized, the 19th‑century marble vats have been preserved, remaining the cornerstone of the winemaking of these quality wines.
