Quinta do Paral Vinho Reserva, an internationally‑oriented wine with excellent aging potential. **Designation** Alentejo Regional Wine **Region** Vidigueira, Alentejo, Portugal **Viticulture** The grapes come from a vineyard covering about 30 hectares, planted on granitic and xistoso soils of a franco‑sandy texture. The vines are trained in a single‑cordon system, yielding an average of 6 t/ha. **Harvest** Manual. **Vinification** Alicante Bouschet (40 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (40 %), Malbec (10 %) and Marselan (10 %). After a meticulous hand‑selection of the clusters, the grapes were destemmed and fermented in vats with mechanical crushing for 12 days at controlled temperatures between 24 °C and 28 °C. **Maturation** The wine aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (70 %) and American oak barrels (30 %).
