This Júpiter, harvested with 12kg boxes in September 2015, clearly spent a rather contemplative teenage phase maturing in terracotta amphorae. The blend of Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet – showcasing the vineyard’s diverse heritage – underwent a thoughtful 48 months of reflection. The result is a remarkably concentrated flavour profile, recently rewarded with a 19/20 rating in Grandes Escolhas. Absolutely delightful with grilled beef, or perhaps paired with a selection of Portuguese cured meats – a wine that deserves a truly worthy companion.
