While it boasts the characteristic lush sweetness and notes of hazelnut and caramel typical of the Verdelho grape, there’s a subtle lack of acidity that perhaps suggests a slight restraint. Nevertheless, the lingering finish with a touch of dried fig is undeniably elegant – a hallmark of a wine matured for over a decade on the island.
