This 10-Year-Old Justin’s Madeira, lauded with 88 points by Wine Spectator, is a testament to the art of patient aging. While it boasts the characteristic lush sweetness and notes of hazelnut and caramel typical of the Verdelho grape, there’s a subtle lack of acidity that perhaps suggests a slight restraint. Nevertheless, the lingering finish with a touch of dried fig is undeniably elegant – a hallmark of a wine matured for over a decade on the island. Wonderful with aged cheeses or a rich chocolate mousse.
