Kompassus Blanc de Noirs is a natural brut sparkling wine from Bairrada made from old‑vine Baga and Pinot Noir grapes. Crafted by the classic méthode champenoise with bottle fermentation, it offers a fine, elegant effervescence accompanied by notes of dried fruit, toasted bread and baked apple. On the palate it stands out for its bright freshness, creamy texture and lingering finish, all within a sophisticated and harmonious profile. João Póvoa began winemaking in 1991 with the Quinta de Baixo label, becoming the first individual producer to gain recognition in the municipality of Cantanhede. In 2005 he founded Kompassus, whose winemaking philosophy is rooted in family traditions. Today, João Póvoa continues to focus on producing exceptional wines using minimal‑intervention viticultural and production techniques. (illustrative image)
