La Rosa Production Fermented at low temperatures in stainless‑steel tanks before bottling. Terroir The Douro, though an ancient region, still offers vast unexplored diversity thanks to its large size and varied terroirs. La Rosa estate exemplifies this, with vines from around 100 m near the river in the imposing Vale do Inferno, up to 500 m altitude in the Lamelas vineyard. It enjoys multiple sun exposures—east, north, and south—and a wide range of grape varieties. With a privileged view of the Douro River, all vines on the estate earn an A rating—the best the region can offer. Poor, stony soils combined with varied topography favour full‑bodied wines with excellent mineral, acidity and freshness. This blend of complexity and power, achieved through good ripening and a characteristic elegance and freshness, has made our wines famous. They express terroir elegance without over‑ripening, excessive extraction, tannin or oak. La Rosa’s whites and rosés feature floral and citrus notes, balanced with fruit. Pale and refreshing—perfect for summer.
