Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, famed for its top‑tier wines and ports, with a history that began in 1815. Despite some changes, it has always remained under the founding family’s ownership, and in 1988 resumed market entry with the production of the house’s first Port wine. Today, Quinta de la Rosa is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines, recognised not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant units, providing a fresh perspective on the Douro. Quinta de la Rosa covers about 62 hectares, aligned along the north bank of the river, producing wines rich with notable acidity, minerality, and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, with the Passagem wines, is a 100‑hectare estate acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines. (Illustrative image)
