The Quinta de la Rosa has been a pioneer in the Douro region, known for its top‑tier wines and ports, its history dating back to 1815. Despite some changes over the years, it has remained in the hands of the founding family and, in 1988, it re‑entered the market with the first home‑made Port. Today, the estate is represented by the wines Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras, celebrated not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant unit, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro. Quinta de la Rosa spans about 62 hectares along the north bank of the river, producing enriched wines with remarkable acidity, mineralism and freshness. Quinta das Bandeiras, with its Passagem wines, is a 100‑hectare property acquired in 2005, of which 38 hectares are planted with vines.
