This Lacrau is a beautiful tribute to the Douro’s heritage, crafted from a vineyard boasting a truly venerable age – planted on a north-facing hillside at 400 metres. A fascinating blend of over 12 indigenous grape varieties, notably Touriga Nacional and Aragonez, it offers a medium-bodied wine with remarkably smooth tannins and a lingering finish, practically begging for a moment of reflection. You’ll detect rich red fruit and spice nuances, subtly enhanced by a 36-month oak aging, alongside a delicate interplay with the lees.
