Floral notes intertwine with ripe red fruit and a surprising touch of coconut, all balanced by a vibrant kick of black pepper and the refined elegance of vanilla. Produced by Lapa dos Gaivões, who masterfully utilises the challenging terroir – vineyards nestled amongst granite slopes influenced by the winds of the Serra de São Mamede – this wine delivers impressive acidity and mineral intensity. The low-temperature maceration and extended bottle aging undoubtedly contribute to its refreshing character. Having been awarded a ‘Grande Escolha’ in 2014, this blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional is a reliably excellent pairing for a hearty roasted wild boar.”
