Founded in the early 1980s, Le Macchiole is one of Bolgheri’s historic wineries and, over the years, has become a benchmark for quality Tuscan wine. The founders, Eugenio Campolmi and Cinzia Merli, were among the region’s pioneers, playing a pivotal role in boosting Bolgheri’s growing reputation with wines brimming with personality that became a regional symbol. Today, Cinzia runs the business with essential support from her sons Elia and Mattia, who have become key figures alongside a close-knit team of enthusiastic colleagues.
