This “Lua Cheia em Vinhas Velhas” feels like it’s had a little getaway, doesn’t it? Aged for 135 days on the Pascoal Atlântico ship, it’s clearly left its mark. Crafted from Sousão, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa on a schistous Douro terroir with a warm, dry climate, the result is a wonderfully concentrated and aromatic wine, bursting with blackberry and blackcurrant notes – transporting you straight to the Douro mountains. With a pH of 3.68 and smooth, mature tannins, it deserves admiration, but truly shines alongside rich, complex dishes like slow-cooked meats and intense cheeses.
