The history of Luís Pato wines begins when João Pato started bottling his own‑grown wines in 1970. After becoming the first bottling producer in the Bairrada region following its demarcation, his son Luís Pato carried on his father’s work, and in 1980 a new era was born for the family business. Today the company spans 60 hectares of vineyard planted on sandy and clay‑limestone soils, and offers a varied range of prestigious wines. *(illustrative image only)*
