M. Chapoutier This special edition collector’s two‑piece wooden case comes straight from the legendary Michel Chapoutier’s caves in the Rhône. Made from two plots—Terrasses de Galets and Plaine des Murets—each is vinified in its own tank. In this vintage Michel deemed the parcels unquestionably exceptional, reserving a few barrels for a micro‑selection late‑release, of which only 300 exist worldwide. If the lieu‑dits Terrasses de Galets and Plaine des Murets sound familiar, it’s because they’re the same vineyards that produce the famed Parcellaires de Sélection, Le Meal Blanc and L’Oree Blanc. Both were sensational in 2011, earning 99‑point scores from Jeb Dunnuck and Robert Parker. As the price suggests, intact boxes of these wines command increasing premiums for the current harvest.
