Veiga França wines belong to a brand with a long history at Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques and dating back to 1850. After his death in 1912, a partnership was formed between his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and João Joaquim Henriques, giving rise to the name Henriques & Henriques. From the very beginning, Henriques & Henriques has held a prominent position in viticulture and the art of winemaking. In 1913 the family interests were incorporated into a family company, and in 1925 it began exporting its wines instead of supplying other local exporters. Since then the company has embraced the latest technological innovations while preserving an unaltered family tradition that has endured for 200 years in producing the finest Madeira wines.
