This Carlota do São Bernardo truly feels like it’s borne the spirit of the Dão region. The deep ruby colour is an invitation to explore, while the nose reveals a beautiful complexity – think homemade red and black fruit preserves, subtly laced with a hint of smoke, a whisper of the schistous slopes where it matured. Built on the backbone of Tinta Barroca, it’s remarkably balanced by the grace of Touriga Nacional, and finishes with a lingering intensity that would pair wonderfully with a hearty beef roast.
