Quinta dos Castelares Set in the heart of the Douro Internacional Natural Park, in Freixo de Espada à Cinta, we produced this Quinta dos Castelares Manuel Caldeira Branco from a selection of the finest grapes from Casa Agrícola Manuel Joaquim Caldeira. It was hand-fermented in French barrels using the traditional Douro varieties Códega do Larinho, Rabigato and Gouveio. Hand-harvested. Gentle pressing of whole clusters. Fermentation under temperature control at 16 °C. Partial fermentation in new French fine-grain oak barrels, followed by aging with stirring of the fine lees.
