It is a gastronomic wine with a predominant aroma of peanuts, tea leaves, and citrus notes. On the palate it is dense and buttery, with a noticeable acidity at the finish. In 1980, Teresinha Ribeiro, married to Eduardo Miranda, began the conversion work in the vineyards of the properties her parents had acquired in the 1950s. With careers outside agriculture, the strategy adopted was to sell the production to exporting houses and to produce small quantities of wine for local consumption and in bulk. Years later, the sons Roberto, Ricardo, Rafael, and Rudolfo gave the missing impetus to the company, steering it toward the production of excellent wines and transforming the company into what it is today: R4 Vinhos Douro Family.
