With a deep ruby‑violet hue, this wine offers a bouquet dominated by port wine notes and plenty of red fruit. In the mouth, the tannins are mature and well‑present, providing plenty of body and freshness. In 1980, Teresinha Ribeiro, married to Eduardo Miranda, began re‑working the vineyards acquired by her parents in the 1950s. Having careers outside agriculture, the strategy was to sell the harvests to exporting houses and produce small batches of wine for local consumption and wholesale. Years later, her sons Roberto, Ricardo, Rafael and Rudolfo gave the company the missing impetus, steering it toward the production of wines of excellence and turning it into what it is today: R4 Vinhos Douro Family.
