Description

Marmelar White stands out for its intense, enveloping aroma, highlighted by elegant notes of crystallised fruit. With a bright golden hue, it delivers a fresh, harmonious, and persistent palate, offering a sophisticated and memorable tasting experience. This wine is crafted to celebrate special moments at the table, striking a perfect balance between aromatic richness and freshness. The Monte da Ribeira estate dates back to 1958, was acquired in 1986 by industrialist Victor Carmona e Costa, who over the next 15 years not only completely refurbished the estate but also established the current productive agricultural structure and cellar. Located in the parish of Pedrogão, within the municipality of Vidigueira and near the village of Marmelar, the estate spans roughly 1,100 hectares dedicated to viticulture and forestry. With wine production as one of its main focuses, the first vineyard was planted in 1989, and the first harvest appeared in 1992 under the Vidigueira label. Subsequent labels such as Pousio and Quatro Caminhos were added, and most recently the Marmelar label.
