Mestiço Vinho Tinto Sólido 2021 is a lovingly blended wine from Ljubomir Stanisic and Mateus Nicolau de Almeida, featuring 40 % old vines from Superior and Baixo, 35 % old vines from Baixo, and 25 % old vines from Superior. Rooted in the depths of history, its composition layers the underground, giving it a rugged soul and stone‑like structure. High density and complexity, balanced with simplicity, it is made of sun and soil, full of backbone—an uncompromising character of wild Douro. The winemaking involves foot‑crushing whole bunches in a granite calcatório for three hours, followed by pressing in a vertical press. The must drains by gravity into concrete tanks in an underground cellar, where natural temperature and humidity are optimised; spontaneous fermentation occurs without temperature control. The wine matures for one year in those concrete tanks. Analytical parameters: pH 3.77 | Total Acidity 4.8 g L⁻¹.
