The nine-month oak aging subtly enhances the wine’s smoothness, revealing a surprising elegance despite its considerable concentration. As the Niepoort himself suggests, it’s a wine of two halves, a promise of eternal youth intertwined with the wisdom of time. Wonderful with fresh fish or a Mediterranean fruit salad.
