This young producer works with vines ranging from 30 years old to century‑old, all in the central region of the country. The Dão vines are planted on a plateau at 500 m altitude. The climate, with large diurnal swings, is mainly shaped by the Serra do Caramulo to the west and the Serra da Estrela to the southeast. The soils are granitic, with a surprisingly abundant layer of rolled limestone on the surface. The wines are crafted in an old stone cellar where the vinification is very minimalist. Like the ancient Celtic Druids, who had a deep bond with the land and sought spiritual balance through nature’s harmony, we aim for a sensory equilibrium that blends soils, climate, and vines.
