“Mirabilis” – a name certainly promising something special, and this wine delivers. Crafted in a quinta seemingly brimming with secrets, it’s a bold declaration of intent: to push the boundaries of what we expect from the Douro. Made predominantly with Trincadeira, alongside a meticulously selected assemblage of grapes, this is an intensely complex wine. Precise vinification – with temperatures carefully maintained between 24 and 26°C – really highlights the Trincadeira’s aging potential and its capacity for graceful evolution. Following 18 months in French oak, alongside *soutirages*, the Mirabilis offers a lingering texture, aroma, and finish that truly stays with you – a wine, it seems, striving for a certain level of human complexity. Perfect paired with a perfectly grilled steak, of course.
