This Monte Bluna Vital is a truly intriguing white from Lisbon – you almost feel like you’ve been anticipating it. Born from the rare Vital grape, grown amongst vines almost forty years old, it captures the whispers of the Atlantic and Tejo. James Suckling awarded it 91 points, and it’s easy to see why – the wine bursts with the freshness of white pulp, floral notes, and a touch of herbaceousness, all elegantly framed by oak reminiscent of almonds and brioche. It’s a generous wine with a lovely freshness, recalling the sea, and a lingering finish that’s wonderfully contemplative. Absolutely divine with fresh seafood, a pairing that perfectly suits the grape’s character.
