**Monte Cascas: intensity and freshness in an authentic red from the Durién slopes** A fresh and expressive Douro red, crafted from traditional grape varieties grown on rich, transitional soils. An balanced, vibrant and gastronomic wine – made for moments of sharing and authenticity. Monte Cascas Colheita Douro Red directly translates the richness of the Douro, where fruit and freshness meet in perfect harmony. Made from grapes harvested from vineyards situated between 400 and 600 metres above sea level, it benefits from a slow, balanced ripening that enhances the region’s fruity and elegant profile. The Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz varieties are vinified with short macerations and stainless‑steel fermentation, preserving the varietal purity and the vibrant character of the Douro. The wine is partially aged in stainless steel and partially in used barrels, only the time needed to give it greater harmony and softer tannins. In the glass, Monte Cascas Colheita Douro Red reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruit, subtle spice notes and a delicate touch of forest. On the palate it is round, with soft tannins, balanced acidity and a fresh, lingering finish that makes it extremely versatile at the table.
